| Short men tend to be overly concerned about length but forget that overall fit is equally important. Remember when that clueless 17 year old salesgirl told you it be better to size up on your coat because you be wearing heavier things underneath? Ignore her. Those "things" you layering underneath your winter coat should fit you equally well, not be some oversize lump of bulk. Thus, trim down your coat size to project height and size.

I can't tell you the number of salespeople who lost the sale because they failed to understand what my wife's value expectations were with regard to the car. We could easily have been sold on an SUV other than the one we bought, had the salesperson listened and put aside their pre conceived notions of what a "typical buyer" of an SUV might be most interested in.
