| Sedum, also known as stonecrop, is a succulent that comes in several varieties. Two of the most popular ways of growing sedum is rock gardens (gorgeous when trailing over a rock wall) and in outdoor containers. Keep plants healthy and stress free with regular light feedings of water soluble plant fertilizer used at one half the recommended rate. Keep the container of stonecrop in full sun and pick pests off as soon as they are spotted. A pest infested or diseased plant will not over winter well, and when the warm temperatures return, the plant problem will be exacerbated, resulting in plant loss and loss of the time and effort you put into the sedum.
