| Although it may seem too soon to be thinking about it, the unfortunate truth is that winter is right around the corner. Depending on where you live, this could mean that you will receive high amounts of snow and or ice this winter. Though we did not receive any snow or ice storms last year that were major enough to cause power outages, I know that other areas were unfortunate enough to experience winter power outages. The two years before last year, our area experienced power outages that lasted for about two weeks at a time. The worst thing about a winter power outage is the fact that there is really not much that you can do about it once it has happened. Taking steps to prepare yourself for a winter power outage is just about the only thing that you can do.
