The show, organised by Agri Horticultural Society of India (AHSI), displayed varieties of flowers grown in winter season, especially Chrysanthemums, Roses, Dahlias and Gladioli as well as Marigolds and perennial flowering plants.R S Jhawar, AHSI member from Kolkata, said: "Winter flower show is basically held to display and give an idea to everybody about the type of flowers, which are grown, and blossom in winter. There are three types of flower shows. One is the house plant show, which took place last month, the other one is the winter flowers show, which is now taking place and the third is the annual flower show, which will take place in early February next month."Visitors said the exhibition is worth seeing."It is very nice to see so many varieties of flowers on the same ground, it's very nice. I like flowers, I really love the roses and there is a variety, which is in pink and white, which is really good," said Deepa Mehta, a visitor.There will also be competition in formations and different presentations flower in pot, cut flowers, table decorations with flowers and feature garden competition.
