| It is a hamster nature to chew. They have a drive to chew in order to keep their teeth worn down. That likely why your hamster is chewing on her bars. I would make sure she is on a good quality food and not receiving too many treats or snacks that would let her eat less of her healthy food. It sounds like you have tried different things, but please make sure she has items she can chew on like paper towel rolls, cardboard, etc, to keep her busy. Harder items work well too, if she will chew on them. The hand nipping is just a defense mechanism, when she is scared or nervous, and different then the cage biting. Devlin

Corporations have the worst type of bad reputation: the boring kind.
