| Vancouver's temperate climate and lush landscape lends itself to year round shooting. This is a big plus for Vancouver photographers because the tedium of non stop studio shooting over winter can sometimes wear down on ones' creative juices. It's very nice to grab a model, make up artist and hair stylist and do a cool photo shoot in the forrest or on a mountain top in mid winter. North Vancouver and Burnaby and Surrey also have many outdoor shooting options. Check with the local BC tourism board to find some inspirational outdoor photography options

Italian director Joe D'Amato, mostly known for horror movies produced on a budget that wouldn't get you a pair of Nyke sneakers at a ghetto flea market, gave us one of the best examples of nunsploitation. (I'm using the word "best" in the same way you'd use it to describe the different shits you see in a zoo. Like "The elephant clearly has the best shit, it can bury a man whole.")

When buying a jacket, it is best to get it a little form fitting to your body. You don't want it too big, or cold air can get in. If you buy a jacket for the winter, you want it a little snug around your body. This will ensure that you are properly insulated. Not too tight though, other wise you will feel uncomfortable. When buying gloves, the thicker the better. But you don't want them too thick, you might need to get something from your pocket or use your cell phone. Jeans over thermals will usually keep you warm, but in cold states like Colorado you will freeze. Insulated pants are made for the cold, and they work great. Keep you feet warm
