| A most interesting plant is the cranberrybush viburnum which will produce masses of red berries for attracting those birds. In May and June this rounded bush will produce white flowers and then red fruit. In addition it has foliage that ranges from red to purple in the fall. A visually interesting plant to brighten up your winter world during the dreary cold season called winter.
Depth and placement aren really a big deal here and often we don have many characters actively talking at any time so it not really needed. The series has a nice bright and colorful look but never crosses to that line where garish lives. The colors have a very solid feel throughout, skin tones in particular look really good, and the animation quality is quite good all things told so that helps to raise the bar a bit.

One of my favorite photographs at the show is of a grove of trees captured by Foley at the State Arboretum of Virginia in Boyce. The trees have a short, stout quality, and Foley shot them from an elevated spot to show their limbs dusted with snow. Behind them, a veiled setting sun lends a golden backlight. The picture reminds me of a wonderfully grim sort of Flemish winter landscape painting. Foley describes the mood: It's January, there's been a snowfall, now all is still and very cold, and the day is drawing rapidly to a close. Ars longa vita brevis and all that.

I feel like those, paired with warm socks and possibly a pair of these magical devices in situations of particular desparation keep me a lot happier than a pair of big clunky boots unless it is below the temperatures you mention, and I've done a significant amount of fall/winter hiking. I still go with the Sorrel type boot for snowshoeing, though, just because they fit the bindings a lot better. Your wife's mileage may vary, however.
