| In all, we found much more than we expected. Tucson's frenzied college vibe was a pleasant surprise, as was its legit underground hip hop scene. Flagstaff benefits as well from its college proximity, and the bars and restaurants were lively and inventive. Santa Fe is picture perfect, expensive, pretentious and real, and it's one of the most beautiful towns in the country. Baby Boomer artists in Las Cruces don't go in for salty language.
