| Primula bulleyana, found naturally in Yunnan at 3000 3200m, has yellow flowers that open late from orange red buds. The pink flowered Primula beesiana is from southwest China, while the similarly coloured P. pulverulenta and P. burmanica, are found in southern China and upper Burma. Primula prolifera (syn. P. helodoxa) is again similar, but has bright golden yellow flowers and is found as far south as Indonesia.

Goldfinches and house finches also love niger thistle seed. This is a very tiny black seed that is more expensive, it usually lasts for a longer time in my backyard because only the finches and occasionally the chickadees eat it. The niger thistle seed will require a special feeder because it is so tiny. There are special tube feeders to accommodate it, and it also comes in a cloth mesh hanging feeder with the seeds already inside. The goldfinches seem to prefer this hanging sack type feeder because it mimics the way they eat naturally in the wild, hanging onto a thistle plant or other plant to extract the seeds. They do not perch to eat like many birds.

It is important to remember that the scalp is skin, too. A good moisturizing conditioner will prevent a dry scalp and keep kids hair soft and tangle free. I use Suave Professionals Almond and Shea Butter Conditioner on both my hair and my three children's hair because it works great and is inexpensive. It is important to massage the conditioner into the scalp with your fingers to prevent dandruff and a dry, itchy scalp. It should also be left on the hair for several minutes for the maximum benefits.
