| You've heard of spring cleaning right? Well there is such a thing, in the car world, as winterization. This is the car version of spring cleaning. Winterizing is where your car is thoroughly checked for any and all items that could go wrong in the winter months. Get this done in the late fall. Say around the end of October or so. However, don't count on a winterization to get you through the entire winter. Randomly check your fluids and have your car serviced should you suspect anything could be wrong with it. So why is this step so important to winter driving? It is important because it will keep your car in top running order. This will in turn keep you from breaking down on the side of a road in the middle of a severe blizzard or Nor'easter. Breaking down in a Nor'easter or any other blizzard conditions is a near death sentence as it will be near to impossible for anyone to see you on the side of the road, even with your flashers on. If they cannot see you then chances are that they will run into you. Have a plow truck or a semi truck run into you and you most likely wont make it home alive.
