It's supposed to go "all the way down to 22" tonight (not cold) and 18 tomorrow night (still not cold) down here in South Texas, which means keeping the furnace running. My wife could have the thermostat at 55 and be fine (she doesn't have hot flashes; she has power surges.) Meanwhile, I could be happy if the thing were 80 year 'round. Then there's her soon to be 85 mom who weighs about half what we weigh and has even more trouble staying warm, so the heater is merely turned on, turned off, turned on, turned off. There is no attention paid to thermostat "setting."
