| NEW DELHI: The only positive outcome of the Left UPA coordination committee meeting on Monday was a firm assurance that the Women's Reservation Bill would be tabled in the winter session of the Parliament. A top Left leader firmly said, "We are not going to accept the proposals made by the government. " On the Left's demand for reduction in petrol and diesel prices, the government gave an assurance that it would look into it. however, government indicated that the prevention of terrorism ordinance (poto) might be repromulgated during the intersession period. the opposition parties barring the bjp, which met here on tuesday, have decided to launch a united attack on the government on various issues. about 20 issues, including alleged irregularities in 'food for work' scheme, unsafe velugodu project, failure to ensure minimum support price, political killings, etc., are likely to figure prominently during the session. The opposition is set to move an adjournment motion to put the government on the mat on the Mumbai terror attack citing it as the government's failure on the law and order front. Terrorism is expected to overshadow all other issues, including Vidarbha farmers' crisis and load shedding. as he arrives in the second capital of the state, nagpur city, the opposition is all set to exploit the explosive situation prevailing in this region as cotton growers are facing worst ever season. Curtains fell on the winter session of the state assembly on Saturday on an acrimonious note, akin to the manner in which had started off: Unsavoury scenes over farmers' issues. Opposition Congress members created pandemonium on the final day demanding benefits for farmers and protesting the Speaker's decision to disallow a debate on the issue.
