| When I first watched this video, I didn't get what I was looking at. I thought I was supposed to be impressed by how big and scary an avalanche really is and you know what? I totally was. I had no idea they were that massive and terrifying. That really is an entire goddamn mountain coming down. And then I saw that tiny little black dot in the middle of it all is it a boulder or something? Surely that's not oh shit.

If this is just too classic for you, why not add something with faux fur. One piece may be enough unless you are wild about the idea but it can be a short jacket or vest or a great pair of faux fur boots. Don't go too crazy in this trend as there is no telling if it is going to be a one season wonder or if it will be around for a couple of years.

Once you find the right vest, everything else follows. My favourites are in black from Gap: one has a built in bra, good for wearing under fine knits, and the other is very soft, and stops itchy wool from irritating the skin. I've also rediscovered a striped green and yellow top from French Connection, tight enough to go under a jumper, but with long sleeves that peek out from beneath; worn alone, it clings and makes me look rotund, but, with a sweater on top, the bright stripes give a slice of cheerfulness to an otherwise monochrome outfit.
